Hey everybody, my name is Alan Morel and I'm the founder of Sabe.io!

I live and work in New York as a full-time software engineer. I created this as a fun side project back in September 2017 as a means of spreading quality web development information to the whole world for free. Almost a year later, I could not be happier with how this has turned out so far. With hundreds of thousands of pages views and thousands of visitors a month, this project has really taken off!

I hope to get to know as many of you as possible with the introduction of this brand new forum. Feel free to register an account, introduce yourself, share tips and tricks, help one another, and mostly importantly, have fun coding!

Hey @Kuna , any particular feature on the homepage, since there's a lot going on. From top to bottom there's the nav bar, the introduction with the two buttons, list of major technologies, the list of classes, list of tutorials, newsletter subscription box, question of the day, featured tweets and then finally footer. Which of these would you like an explanation on?

Kuna Do you mean the nav bar on mobile? The nav bar on desktop is just a normal ul list with links in them. The question of the day is a bit more involved. We have a json file that lives on the server with all the questions, choices, and the answer. The server feeds a new question depending on the day it is, changing ever 24 hours, to serve to the front-end. On the front-end, there is a bit of JavaScript that handles the logic when you click on a choice to tell you if you got the question right or wrong.
